How to Register

Apply Early! 3 simple steps:

  1. Complete application online using the link below.
  2. You will be directed to payment information page once you submit your application.
  3. We will confirm receipt of your application and reserve your space.

Early Registration Discount!
Register before September 30th, 2019 and receive $300 off the program cost!
Program base fee is subject to increase after the Early Registration Discount ends, on Oct. 1, 2019. You must apply and pay the first deposit before September 30th to secure the early rate quoted online.

Referral Credit!
Have a friend that wants to join us too? If you can provide evidence that friends have registered with us based on your recommendation, you’ll receive a $50 credit towards your optional program enhancements. This will be credited to your account on your selection of optional program enhancements in April/May.

Family Member Discounts!
Have you or a member of your immediate family joined us in the past? If so, you’ll receive $75 towards your program enhancements. This will be credited to your account on your selection of optional program enhancements.

Are you sending more than one child in the same program year? If so, you’ll receive a $215 credit towards travel insurance or your choice of program enhancements for your second child.

Only one of these discounts will apply in conjunction with the Early Registration Discount.

Registration Process

Registrations are processed upon receipt of a completed application form with payment.

For high school credit programs: a deposit of $1600 must accompany your application to reserve a space in your program of choice.

For teacher and lifelong learner programs: a deposit of $1000 must accompany your registration to reserve a space in your program of choice.

You have the option to pay by VISA, MASTERCARD, or Email Transfer.

Your space will be reserved once deposit payment is received & a letter of acceptance along with a statement of your payment and remaining amounts due will be emailed to you.

For all student programs:

2nd Deposit is due by December 1, 2019. This will be 50% of the remaining balance;
If you are applying after Dec 1, 2019 please contact our office for further details on when your payments will be due. 

Final balance will be due on March 25th, 2020 for Summer Programs.

March Break Program Final Balance will be due January 30, 2020.

Once we have processed your application, we will require an official transcript and a copy of your most recent report card (for those taking a credit course). This ensures you have or will be obtaining the necessary prerequisite for the course you have selected. You can obtain these documents from your homeschool and forward to Global Journeys Academy via email or mail within 2 weeks of your application.

We will forward preliminary information regarding your program and the next steps on becoming a Global Journeys Academy student and world traveller. 

Late Applicants
Most of our students apply by December to get into the course/ location they really want! However, if you are applying after March 25, 2020 please call our office to ensure space is available and note that additional late fees may be applied to secure seats on flights with our registered group. Full payment is required upon receipt of invoice for those applying after March 25th for summer programs.

Passport information will be required as soon as possible following your application.

Our Comprehensive Travel Insurance package is  strongly recommended.

Coverage includes the cost of your program (based on cancellation for medical reasons or death in the family), medical expenses, emergency medical, loss of baggage/ personal effects and flight accident and travel accident coverage. Once purchased, insurance is non-refundable.

It is mandatory to have travel medical/ cancellation/ interruption insurance. Should you have your own out-of-province medical and travel cancellation/interruption insurance coverage we ask that you submit details (company and policy number) to our office for our records as soon as possible prior to departure.

What is not included in your Program Cost:
– Full Medical/ Cancellation/ Interruption Travel Insurance is essential and required. Students are required to provide our office with insurance details if insurance is not purchased through Global Journeys -STS  Travel. The cost of our comprehensive insurance is as follows:
$225 for Bermuda and Costa Rica Credit Programs
$325 for Britain, Central Europe, France, Iceland & Norway, & Morocco Credit Programs
$375 for Australia & New Zealand, Ecuador, Greece & Italy, Italy, & Southeast Asia Credit Programs
$255 for Volunteer Programs
– Program Enhancements – optional where applicable.
– Visas and Vaccinations where applicable.
– You may be required to purchase some texts or textbooks for your course.
